Job Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Software Engineering discipline and degree programs
  • Lead curriculum design, review, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with international standards and industry needs
  • Coordinate course offerings, teaching assignments, and academic workload planning within the program
  • Teach core and advanced courses in Software Engineering and related areas at undergraduate levels
  • Supervise bachelor theses
  • Conduct and lead high-quality research in Software Engineering or closely related fields
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with industry, government, and professional bodies
  • Represent the program and department in national and international academic networks and conferences

Job Qualifications

  • PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline
  • Practical or collaborative experience with industry in software development, large-scale systems, or technology transfer
  • International academic experience or a strong international professional network preferred
  • A strong, internationally recognized research record, evidenced by publications in leading journals and conferences preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching Proven experience in academic leadership or coordination roles
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and leadership
  • English is required (C1); German is desirable
