The unveiling ceremony of the training base of Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (BiUH ) and China Unicom, Hainan Branch was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Juergen Kretschmann, President of BiUH, Mr. Hua Xie, General Manager of China Unicom, Hainan Branch, and representatives of both parties.
During the trip, Prof. Dr. Kretschmann visited the Innovation Experience Center at the headquarters of China Unicom, Hainan and deepened his understanding of China Unicom’s corporate culture and development. Prof. Dr. Kretschmann also gave a detailed introduction to the current situation of our university and future teaching plans. He stated that the “work-integrated” teaching mode had a positive significance for improving students’ practical abilities, and he hoped that both parties could give full play to their respective strengths, achieve resource complementarity, and carry out pragmatic cooperation.
Mr. Xie also expressed his willingness to carry out talent cultivation and in-depth cooperation through university-enterprise cooperation, and conduct in-depth exchanges on the reform of the university-enterprise cooperative education model and contribute to students’ employment.
Both parties reached a consensus that the follow-up would be to strengthen communication and collaboration and to promote the implementation of cooperation projects. The opening ceremony of the industry-education integration training base provides a new opportunity for both parties to further carry out multi-level, multi-form and multi-field cooperation. At the same time, it also lays a solid foundation for realizing the organic combination and optimal allocation of university-enterprise resources, as well as for jointly cultivating applied and compound talents needed for social development.
