On June 23, the 14th “Challenge Cup” Hainan College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition, jointly organized by the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Hainan Provincial Department of Education, the Hainan Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Hainan Students’ Federation and other departments, was successfully concluded at Hainan University. Focusing on six major areas: technological innovation, future industrial development, rural revitalization, ecological civilization construction, cultural creativity and regional exchanges and cooperation, and social governance and public services, this competition attracted the enthusiastic participation of 25 universities across the province, with more than 2,700 innovative projects competing.
Among them, our students Rui Chen, Guiqi Xiao, Rui Zhou, Xintong Huang, and Runlan Zhang’s project “Qiongyu Xinghai – Aerospace Science and Technology Innovation International Tourism Resort at Hainan Free Trade Port, based on Recommendation Algorithm” won the Bronze of this competition.
According to Rui Chen, the team leader, Qiongyu Xinghai is a comprehensive project that integrates aerospace technology, innovative technology, artificial intelligence and tourism and leisure. The project aims to build an innovative aerospace science and technology international tourism resort by leveraging the policy advantages of Hainan Free Trade Port and the unique geographical location of Hainan Island, based on commercial aerospace, a hot topic widely concerned by all sectors of society, and by using advanced recommendation algorithms, so as to provide tourists with personalized and precise tourism experiences, striving to become a well-known aerospace science and technology tourism destination both at home and abroad. This will complete the commercial aerospace industry chain, do a good job in commercial aerospace, accelerate the formation of new quality productivity, promote the development of Hainan’s international tourism industry, and build Hainan into an international tourism and consumption center.
This competition not only provides a stage for college students to show their innovative achievements, but also inspires their enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship. Students have exercised their abilities, broadened their horizons, and enhanced their sense of teamwork in the competition. In the future, our university will further implement the “work-integrated” teaching model, actively promote the transformation and implementation of results, and cultivate more outstanding talents with international vision, innovative spirit and practical ability for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
