The Hainan Provincial Competition of the 2024 China Collegiate Computing Contest, including the Group Programming Ladder Competition, the Mobile Application Innovation Competition, and the Artificial Intelligence Creativity Competition, has been successfully concluded. A total of 332 teams participated in this Hainan Provincial Competition. After fierce competitions, the work of our students Rui Chen, Rui Zhou, Yurun Zhu, and Minglu Li was successfully shortlisted and won the third prize.

“Our entry this time is called “Qiongtu Molu”(Hainan Roads, New Routes), and its inspiration came from the currently very popular concept of Citywalk.” the project leader, Rui Chen, introduced, “After the enormous popularity of Citywalk, Cityride has gradually become one of the favorite ways for people to travel.”

“With the rapid increase in the number of sports enthusiasts and cycling enthusiasts, people are paying more and more attention to healthy lifestyles. Based on this demand, our team designed a small program to record the riding mileage through AR scanning (end point) buildings. The recorded mileage can then be exchanged for green points and gifts to encourage people to choose green travel methods.” Rui Chen said.

According to the instructor, Mr. Zhiqiang Wang, this work is based on uniapp, H5 and Vue.js for interface rendering and function implementation, and it is a sports and health app created for cycling enthusiasts and sports enthusiasts. Mr. Wang said,” Users can use this app to record their riding mileage points and redeem gifts in the points mall, and they can also discover high-quality routes in this app and check in by scanning landmark buildings through AR. Through this app, users can communicate with other cycling enthusiasts and expand their social circles.”

Mr. Wang said that after the competition, the competition experience would be summarized in a timely manner, especially to guide students in the classroom and work-integrated practice to discover new social service needs and to use professional technology to better serve the society. At the same time, a new model of “using competition to promote teaching, learning and reforming” will be actively explored, which is more in line with work-integrated teaching, and make greater achievements in cultivating students’ innovative spirit and practical ability!
