Dear parents, students, colleagues and friends,
As we bid farewell to 2024, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have been part of our journey at Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (BiUH). This past year has been filled with significant achievements that have strengthened our commitment to leverage the liberties that we enjoy as the first independent international university in order to bring the successful German practice-integrated education model to China.
In 2024, we continued to expand our academic offerings, deepen our partnerships, and enhance the student experience. We welcomed new students and reinforced our ties with industry leaders. Notably, 65 of our students started their 8-week internships in more than 20 diverse positions provided by four companies. These initiatives have empowered us to better serve our students, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly evolving world.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are filled with anticipation and excitement for the incredible opportunities the new year will bring. We announced two new Bachelor’s programs in Industrial Engineering and Logistics Engineering, and we are further expanding our student recruitment efforts to reach more provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China, as well as international markets.
A major highlight will be our highly anticipated relocation to our permanent campus in the Yangpu Economic Development Zone in the second half of 2025. This new campus will feature state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and a collaborative environment designed to inspire creativity and foster innovation. We are committed to ensuring a seamless transition for all students, faculty, and staff during this exciting new chapter.
In the coming year, we will continue to prioritize the well-being and success of our students, equipping them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. We will also strengthen our relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and educational institutions, further expanding our global impact.
As we embark on this new chapter, I would like to express my sincere gratitude once again for your unwavering support and dedication to BiUH. Together, we look forward to a future filled with promise, growth, and success.
