On the evening of October 21, 2025, the 2025 “Future Talents” Industry-Education Integration Week series at Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (hereafter referred to as BiUH) featured a dedicated recruitment event closely aligned with the core industries of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The event invited a flagship project from  Chengmai County’s Administration of  Laocheng Tech Park, Chengmai County, Hainan Province–the Hainan Free Trade Port Silk Road Cross-border Live Streaming Center and its fully authorized strategic operator, “Hainan Chuangchen Overseas Enterprise Service Co., Ltd.” – onto campus, offering ten categories comprising 30 internship positions. This recruitment initiative specifically targeted technical internship roles, aiming to match the core engineering majors at BiUH and demonstrating the depth and breadth of industry-education integration at a technical level.

Cultivating Fertile Industrial Ground: The Strategic Empowerment of Administration of  Laocheng Tech Park, Chengmai Country

The corporate presentation highlighted the industrial platform anchoring the recruiting companies – Administration of  Laocheng Tech Park, Chengmai County. As a key driver of economic growth in Western Hainan, Administration of  Laocheng Tech Park, Chengmai County, Hainan Province has built a modern industrial system focused on the digital economy, oil services and trade, supply chain logistics, and high-end manufacturing. Within this system, the digital economy sector reported revenues exceeding 200 billion RMB in 2024, with tax contributions reaching 12 billion RMB. It hosts over 17,000 enterprises, is among the first “National Digital Service Export Bases,” successfully secured publication licenses for 85 domestic games in 2024 (ranking 5th nationally), and demonstrates increasingly prominent industrial capacity and innovation vitality. Its developing frontiers like blockchain, game publishing, and digital equipment manufacturing create a pressing demand for computer science and electronic information talents. It is precisely within this vibrant industrial environment that the Hainan Free Trade Port Silk Road Cross-border Live Streaming Center was established as a key pillar for the new city’s digital economy development.

Spotlight on the Core Enterprise: Hainan Chuangchen’s One-Stop Export Solutions

The core enterprise in this recruitment effort – Hainan Chuangchen Overseas Enterprise Service Co., Ltd. – detailed its professional capabilities as a “one-stop full-service provider for overseas brand marketing” to the students. It maintains a network of over 30 signed foreign anchors and more than 7,000 overseas influencers, providing robust content creation and communication support for Chinese brands expanding globally. Company representatives stressed Hainan Chuangchen’s mission to “leverage data-driven strategies to elevate Chinese manufacturing from cost competitiveness to brand sovereignty,” a goal that strongly resonated with students aspiring to work on the international stage.

Precise Technical Alignment: Evolving from ‘Technical Learners’ to ‘Industrial Innovators’

The internship positions were designed to meet the digital industry’s need for interdisciplinary talent, specifically addressing the requirements of the technology-intensive cross-border live streaming base environment. They challenge BiUH students to apply core skills like algorithms, hardware, and data analytics to real-world industrial contexts, enabling them to directly utilize their specialized knowledge in solving practical management challenges at the industry forefront, thereby facilitating a transition from “technical executors” to “technological managers.”

For instance, the General Manager Assistant role focused on cross-border live streaming base management – a position blending technology and operations – opens a distinct pathway for BiUH students into emerging industries. This role involves participating in the digital management of the live streaming base. Students can apply their software engineering, system architecture, and data management knowledge to contribute to developing live stream room management systems, equipment monitoring platforms, or supply chain collaboration tools, transforming programming skills into solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Furthermore, students can leverage expertise in communication principles, embedded systems, and automatic control to engage deeply in selecting, integrating, debugging, and maintaining high-definition camera systems, audio equipment, lighting matrices, and network transmission gear, ensuring a stable and advanced technical environment and acting as the base’s “technical guardians.”

During the subsequent “Expert Talk” segment, corporate guests shared insights on industry trends and analyzed the core competencies and career paths in cross-border live streaming, drawing on Hainan Chuangchen’s practical experiences with platforms like TikTok.
The final “On-site Interview” session proceeded in a structured yet dynamic atmosphere. Pre-screened candidates participated in efficient, full-English interviews with company representatives, taking a crucial step toward their professional futures.

Zhang Qiao, Head of the University-Enterprise Cooperation Department at BiUH, noted that this collaboration with Administration of  Laocheng Tech Park,Chengmai County, and Hainan Chuangchen marks the first event in the BiUH “Future Talents” Industry-Education Integration Week series. The subsequent three events, running through November, will offer nearly a hundred high-quality positions. By bringing premium industrial resources and high-growth enterprises onto campus, BiUH not only forges high-quality internship and employment pathways for students but also ensures its talent development efforts resonate in harmony with the growth of leading Hainan Free Trade Port industries like the “Digital Economy” and “Cross-border Trade.” The university will continue to strengthen strategic partnerships with leading technology firms and quality industrial platforms, working together to cultivate and supply future talents equipped to thrive in international competition for the Hainan Free Trade Port’s development.
