In December, as the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) marked the historic moment of island-wide customs clearance, BiUH—the first independent campus of a foreign university in the Hainan FTP—became a “microcosm of education opening-up” spotlighted by national media.
On CGTN’s Dialogue on Hainan’s Education Opening-up, four international faculty members from BiUH showcased the fruits of Sino-German educational cooperation and the vitality of the FTP. CCTV-2 documented BiUH students’ internships in Germany, highlighting a vivid exploration of the “Practice-Integrated” teaching model. The CCTV-4 documentary Tides of Yangpu offered an in-depth analysis of the university’s innovative path of “Sino-German Synergy and Industry-Education Integration,” underscoring BiUH’s supportive role in the FTP’s educational development.
Coinciding with the customs clearance, the university hosted a Campus Open Day, where over a hundred high school students and teachers immersed themselves in German-style teaching and cutting-edge practical training, experiencing the charm of “Learning by Doing.” From CCTV features to on-campus experiences, BiUH is injecting talent momentum into the high-quality development of the Hainan FTP with its distinctive international character and solid integration of industry and education.
